Traffic Control Training
Hervey Bay Traffic Control offers fully accredited traffic control training courses run locally and conducted by an accredited trainer with considerable experience in the field of traffic control. People who successfully complete our Department of Main Roads approved training course will receive accreditation as a licensed Queensland traffic controller.
Courses are run at regular intervals and the next course will be held on Saturday, 29th November, 2008 commencing 8.30 a.m.! Courses must be paid for on the Friday before the course date. Please note no eftpos facilities available.
Traffic control training courses are conducted in our fully equipped training rooms and a maximum of 15 people can be accommodated in each course.
Traffic Control Training Requirements
The Queensland Government and the Department of Main Roads requires people who wish to undergo training as a Traffic Controller to meet certain requirements. These include:
- Medical fitness
- Possession of a current drivers licence for 12 months, within the last 5 years
- Not to have committed any disqualifying offences as set out in the Act
- To have paid the appropriate fee. At the moment that fee is $118.00.

Corporate Traffic Control Training
Hervey Bay Traffic Control can also provide fully accredited traffic control training for corporate clients and we are able to provide that training away from Hervey Bay at times that are convenient for the client.

Training Rooms for Hire
The fully equipped training room at our premises is also available for hire to outside businesses. The training room comfortably seats 20 adults and can be divided into two separate rooms if required.
